Red Brick School
The schoolhouse is located at 63626 Brick Church Road in Cassopolis, MI. It was constructed in 1848 to replace a log school on the same site. The doors were closed, and its bell silenced in 1960 with the consolidation into a larger public school district. The school had operated for over one hundred years and was one of more than 100 schools operating in Cass County in the early 1900’s. The inside of the schoolhouse currently reflects the styles and equipment used in the schools between the mid-1800s and the 1960’s when it was closed.
